Susanna Heydarian,

born in Switzerland has first

been studying psychology at the University in Bern and later painting in Zurich ( Rosina Kuhn)  is now living as a surrealistic painter in Amsterdam.

She is —inspired by C.G.JUNG—fascinated about Hermetic Philosophy and the connection beetween art and symbolics of dreams.

Her paintings mostly have a mythological backgound with intens colours.

As music is an important part of Susanna´s life, her work is clearly influenced by it.

Not by coincidance her place ‘Jakobs droom”in the very center of Amsterdam is called “De Droomladder” which means “The Dreamladder”. It is a meeting-place for all kind of artists, where e.g.houseconcerts, readings and small theatre-productions take place.

Carolina and Susanna met in Amsterdam in the “Droomladder” where Carolina has given several concerts. They decided to make performances together, Susanna painting the sound of Carolina, Carolina playing the colours of Susanna.

“Gmalti Tön” is Swiss German and means Painted Sounds.
